Community Mobility

Nearly a hundred thousand cars drive the Coralville Strip every day, but many of our neighbors are unable or choose not to rely on a car to get where they need to go. A Community Mobility plan will ensure that all of our neighbors have the support they need to safely and efficiently travel to work, medical appointments, the grocery store, and other essential destinations. This will include:

• Strengthening our public transit (bus) system by adding night and Sunday routes and improving bus shelters.

• Collaborating with neighboring cities to offer a universal bus pass.

• Developing strategies to make Coralville more bike friendly.

• Ensuring pedestrian safety by developing clearly marked crosswalks, bridges, or underpasses on busy streets.
